THE KING'S ACADEMY's Independent Study Program (ISP) provides support for the home schooling family with children in grades K-12. A basic program includes academic record maintenance, legal coverage, curriculum selection assistance, group activities, monthly meetings, and experienced teachers.

The ISP is under the direction of Marilyn Anacker. Membership in the Home School Legal Defense Association is required for acceptance. To apply online for this, go to www.hslda.org, or call 408-481-0160 ext 278 or ext 331 to request an application.

ISP Fees

• Application fee per family: $50
  (This fee is waived for families of full time or part time students at TKA.)
  
• Registration fee per child: $60 (Registration covers SAT testing and other miscellaneous yearly fees.)
• Tuition fee per family: $350 - Annual Tuition
                                   $35 - Due monthly beginning (8/1/09 - 5/1/10)

Optional Fees

• Sports (for those in grades 7-12)
  Grades 6-8: $100
  Grades 9-12: $125
  This fee is due before the first game and is non-refundable after the season has started. The fee is for each student for each sport. For more information, please contact the sports office by email or at extension 281.
• Visual and Performing Arts
  Non-refundable student participation fees for Visual and Performing Arts include:
  Knights Brigade: $300
  Winter Percussion & Guard: $150
  Drama Productions: $50 - $100
  

Payment Policies

• Tuition payments are due on or before the 1st of the month. The first tuition payment is due August 1 and the last payment is due May 1st.
• A $5.00 late fee is applied when tuition payments are not received by the 10th of each month.
• A $25.00 service charge will be applied for all returned checks.
• Students will not be permitted to continue in the Independent Study Program if their tuition is more than 30 days delinquent unless prior arrangements have been made.
• Attach a completed payment coupon to all payments, available in the ISP Office.
• ISP tuition, application, and/or registration payments must be made on a separate check from all other TKA payments. Please note in the memo portion of each check “ISP.”
• Tuition refunds are limited. Once a student begins classes in any particular month, payment for that entire month is required. Prepaid tuition after the month in which the student leaves will be refunded to you.

Application Info

Please call THE KING'S ACADEMY's ISP Office for an application package. This package includes a brochure, family and student applications, Hold Harmless Agreement and the HSLDA application.

• Applications may be requested between March 1st and July 15th.
• Deadline for first semester is July 31st.
  
• Deadline for second semester is January 1st.
