IMPORTANT STEP: Please complete the EMERGENCY MEDICAL INFORMATIONand ATHLETIC LIABILITY RELEASE forms linked here. Either bring to the TKA Athletic Office or mail to the TKA Athletic Office, 562 N. Britton Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085. Your student may not begin camp until these forms are complete and received. Thank you for your help.
Summer Sports Camp Descriptions
Coed Basketball
This basketball skills camp will focus on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting. There will be a full court game played every day, as well as individual contests. Coach: Drew Petiti, Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach
Junior High Wrestling
This wrestling clinic is designed to promote discipline, endurance, and confidence. It also improves mobility skills; master coordination, balance, timing, speed and flexibility. Students will learn defensive/offensive wrestling combinations, takedown, controlling, reverses, escapes, pinning and much more. There will be drills to strengthen their bodies and some competition. Girls Basketball
If you love basketball, then you will love this camp. There will be lots of instruction on shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense as well as opportunity for good old-fashioned competition. Each girl will be put on a team that will compete in regular basketball as well as crazy drill games. Together, we will become better at the game of basketball while having a blast at the same time. Junior High Flag Football
This five-day camp is designed to help athletes become better football players. Although the drills are designed with flag football in mind, the techniques learned can be applied to any level of football. Attention will be given to both offensive and defensive positions. There will be drills, competition, and fun. *Cleats recommended, not required. Coach: Ron Kellner, Junior High Flag Football Coach
High School Coed Tennis
TKA Tennis Camp is mandatory for prospective high school athletes interested in trying out for the TKA Women's Tennis Team. Workouts will include conditioning, tennis instruction (fundamentals of the game: strokes, strategy, etc.), drills, games, and competitive play. Previous experience desired, but athleticism and a teachable spirit are required. Register by June 3rd to receive a Camp T-shirt Coach: Sharon Haugen, Head Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis Coach
Youth Football Conditioning Camp
This two-week camp will focus on the development of football skills and conditioning. This camp will involve position, skills, sport specific conditioning, and spiritual mentoring. Freshman Football
This three-day camp is a fully padded, full contact football camp designed to prepare young athletes for the high school experience. Our highly experienced staff of coaches will provide drills, scrimmage situations, and team building events that will help the athletes become the best players that they can be. Basic tackling fundamentals and position work will be emphasized. *Cleats and mouthpiece mandatory and current physical and emergency information must be on file. Boys Soccer
This camp will focus on the fundamentals of ball control, passing, dribbling, and shooting. We will also help develop the players understanding of the game. We will make sure to have plenty of fun while developing skills in all areas of the game. Coach: Steve Caldwell, Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach
High School Coed Volleyball Camp
This is an all-skills camp for beginning to intermediate players. Each session features fun drills, competition, prizes, and awards. Players will improve fundamental skills in footwork, passing, serving, defense, and attacking. The camp is run by TKA and Bay to Bay coach Philip Wang and assisted by collegiate and advanced club players. Coach: Phillip Wang, Head Boys/Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach
Junior High Coed Volleyball
This camp will provide all campers with quality coaching and the opportunity to improve their fundamental offense and defense skills. We will focus on the basics of passing, serving, and setting. The camp for novice players is 9:00-11:00 a.m.; the camp for intermediate players is from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Coach: Cora Bell, Head Junior High Volleyball Coach
