Visual and Performing Arts (VPA)

TKA's Visual and Performing Arts department seeks to glorify God while fostering an environment where students can discover and develop their God-given talents to the fullest.  The goal is for students to share these talents not for their own glory but as a spiritual act of worship of our Creator. (1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:17)

Drama

With the inception of a junior high drama program in the fall of 2009, The King's Academy drama department now produces four major productions annually. Two of the productions, one fall musical and one spring play, are exclusively for our junior high (6^th-8^th grade) students.  The high school students can participate in a drama in the fall as well as a musical in the spring. The spring musical may include some junior high students. The students enrolled in high school drama classes also perform one act plays in the spring. 

At TKA, student involvement  in drama goes well beyond acting and singing. Student participation includes set design, choreography, music composition, costuming, assistant directing, and even playwriting.
