Prospective Students

Distinctive Programs

Meet the Faculty and Staff

Every staff member at The King’s Academy is vital to the school’s number one mission which is ministry to our students.   We know that the quality of the staffs' character inevitably establishes the professional and spiritual quality of the school and has an enormously significant and life-changing influence on the development of the students' confidence and character.

That is why, first and foremost, all of The King's Academy staff members are Christ followers who have a passion for interacting with junior high and high school students.

1. Describe your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
I asked Christ into my life at age 6 during a Good News Club (part of Children’s Evangelism).  Later at age 16, I better understood what it meant to have a “relationship” with Christ and then gave my life to him to be my SAVIOR and LORD.

2. Describe your sense of leading by God to serve Him in a Christian school, including your leading to serve in this Christian school.
I have always had a desire to be serving Christ in some capacity.  I’ve worked in children’s ministry, junior high ministry, and college ministry in my churches over the years.  The call to come to King’s was God working the timing in such a way that there was no doubt in my mind that this was where he wanted me.  It was during a transitional phase of my life where I was praying diligently for God to lead me into a new job or make it clear that I should go full time as a missionary in Nicaragua.  He allowed Marilyn Davidson and Beth to get in touch with me and they described this “perfect” job that meshed all my talents and gifts into one paid position.  It was an answer to prayer.

3. Identify some ways you sense God’s particular blessing on your ministry.
God has continued to bring small nuggets of encouragement throughout the year, especially in a job of great critique by coworkers.  Students who have come to me at the end of the year and tell me that they loved my class or are going to miss me has lifted my spirits knowing that even when I feel my work is in vain, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.  Many of the blessings come with alumni that I keep in touch with as they move on into college and work.

"The academic challenges prepared me sufficiently for college courses.  I am still an "A" student!  Also, the family I found here was more than I could ever ask for!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
