The King’s Academy has occupied the former Sunnyvale High School campus since 1993. TKA leases the campus from Fremont Union High School District (FUHSD). With a long-term lease agreement and the support of the FUHSD and City of Sunnyvale, The King's Academy has made many improvements to the property over the years, including remodeling the gym, renovating the Quad, installing a new athletic field and all-weather track with lights, and numerous upgrades to all the educational facilities.

for advice from TKA's four College & Academic Counselors. Services include: academic and course selection; student and parent college counseling; PSAT, SAT and ACT planning and preparation resources; college guides, catalogs and CD ROMs; sign-ups for on-campus college visits.
A full-time Academic Support Director oversees services for students with documented learning differences, students needing academic support, and occasionally students who require extra support due to chronic medical issues. View the Academic Support brochure
The art studios provide students with an extensive supply of materials and resources to express their imaginations through drawing, painting, and sculpting. The calligraphy and ceramics studio also has a kiln. View TKA's Art Gallery
Many students enjoy recreation/play activities in the Athletic Quad during most brunch and lunchtimes. It has three basketball courts, two soccer/hockey goal outlines, and lots of open space for eating, spectating, or participating in other sports activities. Students also have regular access to the synthetic practice field for recreation during these times.
TKA has a fully-equipped training room with two full-time certified Athletic Trainers on staff.
This smaller gym is also used for PE classes and has special mats for wrestling.
A large bandroom houses all of the instruments and equipment needed by our marching band, percussion ensemble and color guard. Learn more about our instrumental music program
The newly upgraded broadcasting facility has state-of-the-art software and the equipment necessary to produce dynamic student news broadcasts
, and to produce videos and other multi-media projects.
There are five computer labs on campus, three with PCs and two with iMacs.
In these two studios, dances are choreographed, and our musicians and singers create beautiful harmonies.
TKA has a full-sized, new artificial turf (with organic infill- not rubber) football/soccer field and a state-of-the art, all-weather track. Additionally, there is an all-weather synthetic turf field used for practices. The baseball field has two new dugouts, a scoreboard, and two pitching bullpens. The softball field has two dugouts, a scoreboard, and a separate batting cage.
The newly renovated gymnasium seats 1154 in the bleachers and has a dividing curtain, useful for PE, and running simultaneous team practices. Locker room facilities for boys and girls are across from the gym
The Knight's Café serves hot and cold meals at breakfast, brunch and lunch. Plus, there is a full-service salad bar for lunch each day. Most of the food is cooked by our chefs in our school's commercial kitchen located in the W Building, but The Knight's Café also brings in food from restaurants such as El Pollo Loco, Chick-fil-A, Subway, Chef Chu's in Mountain View, and Panda Express to name a few.Other healthy snacks and drinks are available for sale at the Knight's Café at meals and after school.
The Library Media Center
includes approximately 14,000 volumes (print books, eBooks, videos, and audios), 28 print magazine subscriptions, 28 library subscription databases with home access, sections on Christian Living and Parenting, and 42 computer workstations with filtered Internet access. The main library has table seating for 56 students and 10 computer workstations; the library lab has 32 computer workstations. The main library and library lab are available to students before and after school and throughout the school day, and to faculty for class reservations on a period-by-period basis.
The newly renovated Quad is the center of The King’s Academy campus and is a place where students enjoy spending time and eating meals during breaks. The student store, the Knight’s Café, faces the Quad and offers hot meals and snacks for breakfast, brunch, lunch and after school. Lockers for 7th through 12th grade students are located in the Quad
Five sixth grade classrooms are located near the edge of campus, providing 6th grade students with a setting of their own. TKA has a very special 6th grade program. Learn more
The Student Attendance and Activities Office, or SAO, is the center for all the students' needs. Students come here to sign in or sign out of school, get tardy slips, pick up items delivered by parents, take prescribed medicine, receive first aid attention, and get answers to their numerous school-related questions!
The science labs are specifically outfitted for hands-on student learning. TKA has two chemistry labs, two life science labs, two biology labs, and one physics lab
With four doubles courts and two singles courts, we can now provide a home site practice and tournament location for our tennis teams. This also provides the opportunity for our PE program to introduce a terrific, life-long sport to our students, and to strengthen the message of keeping fit by remaining active throughout our lives.

This multi-purpose space is used for chapels, ballroom dancing classes, parent events, and many school functions. It has a small stage and multi-media screens.
Sports teams, students, and alumni train and condition on a variety of weight equipment and advanced machines in our weight room.
