Athletic Vision

"To train young leaders to pursue whole-hearted excellence for Christ through unique educational experiences in athletics."

God Bless you all! This is your Athletic Office Team wanting to share the things God has placed on our hearts for the vision of the entire Athletic Program. We have a great opportunity here at The King’s Academy to further the Kingdom of heaven through our Christ-centered student focused athletic rogram.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”…these are the words of The Apostle Paul at the end of his life. Our desire and prayer is that these same words would be spoken and lived out in each athlete’s life that passes through our Christ-centered student focused athletic program. This program will strive to create and provide an environment where players enter the program as boys and girls, but leave as men and women of God. My goal is to generate players committed to living a life of excellence in all areas, working unto the Lord always and in every aspect of their lives. Therefore teaching them that they are not defined by our culture, but by our Creator, and through Christ, they will do amazingly more than we could ever imagine. Each student athlete will come to school to receive an education, although, they will leave with so much more. With effort and determination they will become a Champion in the classroom as well as on the field or gym, and in their personal life.

Each student-athlete’s journey to “life as a Champion” begins as they learn to love their Lord, teammates, the transformation process, the challenge, and the opponent. Day by day, each student athlete will learn to excel in disciplines of life, study, meditation, and prayer. Through the coach’s examples they will understand what it means to consider others greater than themselves and become willing to die themselves for the sake of the team. They will learn to play the game with intensity and yet not identify themselves by the scoreboard but by the Cross. Growth and development will occur by continually evaluating their inner life, not comparing themselves to others, but by making Christ their standard.

On this journey, the Athlete, will focus attention on the good words and actions to encourage others. This journey that begins on the field will continue even after their high school career is finished. Equipped with the biblical principles of our program, they will continue to live as Champions, seeking good by acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with our God. Our goal is for athletes to go out whole-heartedly seeking to live the Greatest Commandments practically by living the Great Commission.

Sports are more than games, they are a training laboratory for life, a platform in which all the above can be emphasized, modeled, and expected. A player passing through a program, with core values and principles focused on becoming a Champion in all areas will have every opportunity to be transformed into what God has called them to be. It will not be easy, but nothing worthwhile comes easy. It will be difficult; there will be hard times, adversity, and roadblocks. It will take time and effort, but as one perseveres and stays the course, as we keep our eyes fixed and run in such a way, we will receive the prize. This is a prize far greater than any worldly trophy or reward. Success will be realized when we graduate men and women who have fought the good fight, who have finished the race, and who have kept the faith. Thank you for allowing us to share our hearts. God Bless

"The academic challenges prepared me sufficiently for college courses.  I am still an "A" student!  Also, the family I found here was more than I could ever ask for!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
