Drama Student Republic

The Drama Student Republic (DSR) was founded in the fall of 2005 in order to establish a student leadership team within The King’s Academy Drama Program.  The self-titled club includes anyone who is in a drama class, or who is involved in the after school theatrical productions.  The officers of the club fulfill jobs within the drama program.  The officers are chosen in May for the following school year.  Applicants must fill out an application and give a short speech to the students in the DSR.  Students are then encouraged to give positive feedback about the candidates.  Officers will be chosen based on their applications and the positive feedback given by their peers.  This is not an election.  Officers will hold their position for one entire school year, but may apply for the same position for consecutive school years.
