TKA varsity boys and girls cross country teams qualified for CCS this past Friday at the WBAL league championships. All four teams raced exceptionally well overall.
Nearly 8 out of 10 runners had a PR on the team, with several JV runners improving by 30 seconds to 300 seconds on the Crystal Springs course we ran on a month ago.

Junior Thomas Tasker led the Varsity boys by running a 32-second PR and moved him up to 4th overall on the all-time list in a time of 16:25. He is now TKA's fastest junior in school history on the Crystal Spring race course. Thomas placed 8th overall in the race. Junior Joshua Han finished 20th in a time of 17:45 with a 2-second PR. Junior Evan Jung, Seniors Devon Choski, and Isaac Fournier rounded out our top 5 scorers for the Varsity team with solid PRs (see below). The boys finished sixth in the league and will be competing next Saturday at CCS on the same course.
Junior Ryland Adzich led the varsity girls and placed 17th in the girl's race in a time of 21:22. Senior Ally Ting finished in 21st with a 43-second personal best. The next three scorers were Senior Hana Rust (22:02 - PR of 34 seconds), Junior Bethany Grant (22:03 PR of 51 seconds), and sophomore Amanda Ting (22:18 Pr of 13 seconds). The girls placed 5th in the league and secured a spot to compete at CCS next week.
The JV boys placed 3rd out of 8 teams. The JV girls finished 4th out of 12 teams.
The boys were led by frosh Derek Vook who ran a time of 19:36 (61-second PR), and the JV girls team was led by frosh Rachel Wetter who ran 23:56 (11-second PR).
