Our Campus

The Academic Support Department offers a limited range of support services for our students who have been diagnosed with a learning issue, a medical illness, and/or emotional issues. The resources we provide are to help equip the student for academic success. 

The art studio provides students with an extensive supply of materials and resources to express their imaginations through drawing, calligraphy, ceramics, painting, and sculpting.  The studio also has a kiln. View TKA's Art Gallery to see some TKA student creations!  L

Many students enjoy recreation/play activities in the Athletic Quad during most brunch and lunchtimes.  It has three basketball courts, two soccer/hockey goal outlines, and lots of open space for eating, spectating, or participating in other sports activities.  Students also have regular access to the synthetic practice field for recreation during these times.  Learn more about TKA's Athletic program!

TKA has a fully-equipped training room with two full-time certified Athletic Trainers on staff who treat sports injuries and help with rehab. See TKA's Sports Medicine webpage for details.

This smaller gym is also used for PE classes and has special mats for wrestling.

A large band room houses all of the instruments and equipment needed by our marching band, percussion ensemble, and color guard. Learn more about TKA's award-winning Knights Brigade and our instrumental music program.

The recently upgraded broadcasting facility has state-of-the-art software and the equipment necessary to produce dynamic student news broadcasts, videos, and other multi-media projects.

The King’s Academy’s College and Academic Counseling Center is staffed with four full-time counselors who offer comprehensive academic and college advising for students in grades nine through twelve, including assisting students with admission test planning, providing college resources, and facilitating on-campus college visits.

There are three computer labs on campus, one with PCs and two Mac labs. TKA's 1:1 technology program offers many impactful learning experiences in the classroom and prepares students to utilize all the technology and applications required for 21st century careers.

Students bring their own device (BYOD) to school, according to school specifications. Grades 6-12 use MacBooks. Read more about TKA's Technology Vision.

In these two studios, dances are choreographed, and our musicians and singers create beautiful harmonies! Learn more about TKA's award-winning dance and vocal music programs.

Kellogg Field is a full-sized, artificial turf (with organic infill - not rubber) football/soccer field and a state-of-the art, all-weather track.  Additionally, there is an all-weather synthetic turf field used for practices. The baseball field has new grass turf, two new dugouts, a new scoreboard, and two pitching bullpens.  The softball field has two dugouts, a scoreboard, and a separate batting cage. The Paul M. Spates Memorial gymnasium seats 1154 in the bleachers and has a dividing curtain, useful for PE, and running simultaneous team practices. S Locker room facilities for boys and girls are located across from the gym. The gym is also used for Spiritual Life's All-School rallies!

The Knight's Café serves hot and cold meals at breakfast, brunch and lunch. Plus, there is a full-service salad bar for lunch each day. Most of the food is cooked by our chefs in our school's commercial kitchen located in the W Building, but The Knight's Café also brings in food from restaurants such as El Pollo Loco, Chick-fil-A, Subway, Chef Chu's in Mountain View, and Panda Express to name a few. Other healthy snacks and drinks are available for sale at the Knight's Café at meals and after school.

Library Media Center resources include approximately 12,000 volumes (print books, eBooks, videos, and audios), 18 print magazine subscriptions, 35 research databases with one access, and 7 computer workstations with filtered Internet access. The main library has table seating for 69 students while the library lab has table seating for 24 students. Students are instructed in the use of library resources through grade-level information literacy lessons taught by the Librarian. The main library and library lab are available to students before and after school and throughout the school day, and to faculty for class reservations on a period-by-period basis.

• Closes: 5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday; Closes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and any day preceding a non-school day, and after the last bell on half-days and finals-days.

The Quad is the center of The King’s Academy campus and  is a place where students enjoy spending time and eating meals during breaks. The student store, the Knight’s Café, faces the Quad and offers hot meals and snacks for breakfast, brunch, lunch and after school.  Lockers for high school students are located in the Quad.  The lockers for junior high students are located close to their classes near the B, D, and F wings.

The Student Attendance Office, or SAO, is the center for all the students' needs.  Students come here to sign in or sign out of school,  get tardy slips, pick up items delivered by parents, take prescribed medicine, receive first aid attention, and get answers to their numerous school-related questions!

The science labs are specifically outfitted for hands-on student learning.  TKA has two chemistry labs, two life science labs, two biology labs, and one physics lab. Check out TKA's array of science classes.

To help decrease the school electricity bills and provide shade for cars, TKA installed solar panel structures over parking spaces in both the front and back lots. There are also electric vehicle charging stations.

This multi-purpose space is used for parent events, class events, club gatherings, and many school functions.  It has a small stage and multi-media screens.

With four doubles courts and two singles courts, TKA now has a home site practice and tournament location for our tennis teams. This also provides the opportunity for our PE program to introduce a terrific, life-long sport to our students, and to strengthen the message of keeping fit by remaining active throughout our lives.

Cabot Theater, a 10,000 ft2 performing arts venue, seats an audience of 550.  It is well-equipped with sound and lighting technology for full-scale theatre productions, concerts, visual and performing arts showcases, and speaking events.
