Creating Digital Citizens
The King’s Academy’s commitment is to “Create Digital Citizens Connected to Him.” The computer age has changed the world we live in and produced far greater challenges than ever before. We can try to avoid those challenges, ignore them, or face them head on.
TKA believes the latter is the correct course for all Christians. At The King’s Academy, our goal is always to prepare our students – for college, life, service and eternity. The stated vision of The King’s Academy is: “Graduates of The King’s Academy are transformed by Christ, live a life that honors God, and use their gifts to influence the world for Him.”
To that end, these are the areas TKA will focus on preparing our students to be responsible digital citizens connected to our King Jesus Christ:

Updated Technology Policy for 2025–2026
Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, 6th grade students will no longer be required to bring MacBooks to class. Instead, they will use school-owned Chromebooks during classroom hours, as needed. These devices will remain on campus and will not be sent home.
7th grade students will continue using their personal MacBooks for the 2025–2026 school year. Starting in 2026–2027, the Chromebook model will expand to include 7th grade.
Students in grades 8–12 will continue using MacBooks, with no changes planned at this time.
Technology Requirements for 6th Grade:

Families must provide headphones with 3.5mm jacks compatible with Chromebooks. These can be purchased from any retailer. Amazon options can be found here.

All families must ensure students have access to an internet-connected device at home for homework and communication.

New Student Accounts
Parents of new students will receive an email by August 1 with login credentials for:

If you haven’t received this information by August 1, please contact our IT Help Desk at help.desk@tka.org.
Password Resets

Student Email Passwords: Returning students must visit the IT Office for email password resets.
