TKA Head of School Jeff Freeman shares his thoughts on this exciting new endeavor, as TKA partners with Heritage Academy and Milpitas Christian School to form a new school: TKA Elementary!
Coming in 2025-2026: TKA Elementary!
TKA Partners With Heritage Academy and Milpitas Christian School to Start TKA Elementary
The King's Academy, Heritage Academy, and Milpitas Christian School (MCS) are thrilled to announce the launch of a new K-5 school—The King’s Academy Elementary School–set to open in the 2025-2026 school year. This partnership represents a significant advancement in Christian education in the Bay Area, building on over a century of combined Christ-centered learning.
As part of this joining of forces, Heritage and MCS will conclude their elementary school operations at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The new TKA Elementary School will be located on the school’s existing Sunnyvale campus, offering two classes per grade level for K-5, with an initial capacity for 220 students.
TKA Elementary will integrate the rich traditions and educational excellence of all three institutions, offering enhanced resources and programs to better serve students and families in Silicon Valley.
TKA Head of School Jeff Freeman commented, “Given Silicon Valley’s role as the world’s leading technology incubator, Christian education plays a critically important role in developing the next generation to impact the world for Christ. With the addition of TKA Elementary–and in partnership with our brothers and sisters from Heritage Academy and Milpitas Christian School–TKA is positioned to make an even greater impact for the Kingdom of God.”
Heritage Academy founder and former TKA faculty member Marilyn Davidson offered, “It is extraordinary how God has orchestrated this new endeavor, in His time and with His sovereign hand. I am thrilled that the legacy of Heritage Academy will be perpetuated going forward through The King’s Academy.”
"This collaboration allows us to preserve the 50 year legacy of MCS while expanding the opportunities available to our students. By joining forces, we can offer a higher quality education with enriched resources, all within a strong, Christ-centered framework, and at a lower tuition than MCS could offer on our own.” said Helen YooLee, Head of School and Principal at Milpitas Christian School.
"We anticipate a high level of interest in our new elementary school," said Jeff Freeman, Head of School at The King’s Academy. "We encourage prospective families to attend one of our Open House events on October 26 and December 7, 2024, to learn more about the exciting opportunities that await."
