Visual & Performing Arts
Department Philosophy
TKA's Visual and Performing Arts department seeks to glorify God while fostering an environment where students can discover and develop their God-given talents to the fullest. The goal is for students to share these talents not for their own glory but as a spiritual act of worship of our Creator.
The King’s Academy Visual and Performing Arts department is dedicated to presenting diverse performance opportunities, establishing an artistic community, preparing students for post-secondary endeavors, and developing the next generation of artists and audiences. We create cooperatively, initiate leadership, develop critical thinking skills, share the human experience, and teach artistry excellence.
Being involved in VPA is a great way for students to make friends, get involved in a loving community, and build their confidence. Students will practice how to work as a team as well as how to independently challenge themselves in their craft. Most importantly, they will learn how to express themselves, engage their mind in a different way, try something new, or work on enhancing their skills in a subject they already know and love.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17)
