Varsity Coach Bios
Pete Lavorato, Head Varsity Coach, started his professional career playing football in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. Ten years later, he began his teaching and coaching career, which has lasted 34 years. Pete’s greatest joy is his family which includes his wife Nancy of 43 years, and their three children: Luke, Natalie, and Vanessa.
Paul Majchrowicz, Receivers Coach, is a Charlie Wedemeyer All-Star and returns for his second season of coaching TKA’s varsity receivers. Paul played receiver for three years at TKA, and still holds records for most receiving yards and most receptions in a season. After one year of playing for Grove City College in Pennsylvania, he attended Foothill College. He hopes to complete a B.A. in Business Management at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo or San Diego State.
Stewart Joslyn, Offensive Line/Defensive Line Coach, started playing football at the same high school where his grandfather was a star before going on to play for USC in the 1939 national championship team. He has served on the TKA JV football coaching staff for six years, the last three years as head coach. His favorite part of coaching is developing relationships with the players and helping them to reach their goals and potential.

Dante is happily married to his wife, Cherina, and together they have three children: Sarai, Pennel, and Hadassah.
Charlie Jones, Defensive Coach, loves the Lord and football. He is passionate about helping to shape young men into Christ-followers. Fall 2002: TKA Football Team Begins!
The TKA board approved a football team in 2002. At that time, TKA started with a JV team coached by Bob Sykes who had been the JV coach at Saratoga High. Of the 35 member squad, all but two of the initial players had never played contact football before. The Knights finished with a 7-3 record in their first season of football.
In 2003, TKA was fortunate to bring on Ron Kellner from Valley Christian High School, who led the program for approximately 7 years. Ron, who also served as a TKA Bible teacher, encouraged the display of Christian character on and off the field, while employing a double wing offense which emphasized the run. During Ron’s tenure, the TKA football program went from membership in the North Coast Section to the Peninsula Athletic League, and made appearances in the CCS playoffs.
In the relatively brief time TKA's football program has been in existence, it has seen some amazing highlights, including entry into the Pacific Athletic League, CCS playoff appearances, Christian character and actions recognized by other schools, consistent awards for highest academic achievement, and young men continuing to play in college, including play at D1 schools with scholarships.

Parents
Welcome to Knights Football!
YOU are ESSENTIAL! We count it an honor and a privilege to support Coach Pete Lavorato, Coach Dante Perez, the TKA Coaching Staff and our student athletes through our parent volunteers aka “TKA Football Family”. The purpose of the “TKA Football Family” is to enhance the TKA Football Program through our volunteer efforts!
Football is unlike any other sport. It takes commitment and dedication, not just of our student athletes and coaches, but of the parents and siblings too! And it takes ALL of US to run a football program. In return for getting involved and being a part of our “TKA Football Family” you gain irreplaceable friendships and your sons experience relationships that last a lifetime.
Our Team Parents provide communication and coordinate all of the volunteer activities for the “TKA Football Family” during the summer workouts and football season through playoffs for both the Varsity and JV Teams. Each year we work to create continuity in our TKA Traditions and look to have one parent from each grade as part of the leadership team. Your 2021 Team Parents are:
-
Kelli Williamson
-
Kim LeGue
-
Jody Clarke
We invite you to tap into your gifts and talents as we cheer, volunteer and pray for our kids, coaches and families. There are many opportunities to get involved and to help contribute to the success of our TKA Football program. Stay tuned for additional details. We look forward to getting to know you and watching our TKA Football Family flourish.
