Hanna Sandquist, begins her first year as Head Athletic Trainer, with four previous years as assistant trainer at TKA. She grew up in Redwood City and attended Woodside High School but always felt more connected to TKA because of her many friends here. “I only attended one football game in high school and it was against TKA, and I sat on TKA side rooting for TKA.” She has a B.S. in Athletic Training from Concordia University and became a certified athletic trainer in 2014. “Not only am I passionate about the physical well-being of others but also the emotional and spiritual well-being of those I have the privilege of caring for. I am looking forward to teaching sports medicine this year and getting the chance to share the knowledge and experiences I’ve been given with students at TKA.”
Darren Ngo, Athletic Trainer, grew up in San Jose and graduated from Silver Creek High School. He recently finished his Master of Athletic Training degree at Texas Tech University. His experience includes training camp/preseason positions with the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders, in addition to some rotations at Texas Tech football and local high schools in Lubboc, TX. His passion is watching people succeed, particularly athletes achieving small goals of being pain free and returning to full participation after injury or surgery.
Kristofer Petersen played tight end and defensive end at Texas State University, and serves as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for all sports at TKA. He helps with creating a summer work out plan for our athletes, but also works with them throughout the school year and in-season. He is passionate about helping those who want to improve be the best that they can be.
