Dear Junior Class Parents,

The Class Officers are excited to announce plans for the annual Junior Class Trip to San Francisco on Friday, December 19. Because TKA students will now take finals before the Christmas break, this class trip is the first day of Christmas vacation. What a great way to kick off our break!

The day will begin in Chinatown, where students can shop and sightsee with their chaperone groups enjoy a buffet lunch together at the Cathay House Restaurant. The afternoon will be spent serving the community through S.F. City Impact, followed by dinner at Westfield Shopping Center. Our special evening event will be attending a performance of Cirque du Soleil, and we will end the evening at Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory! We expect to be back to TKA around 12:45 a.m.

We will drive to the city in school vans and private cars with parent and teacher drivers. The cost of the field trip is $100 per person, which will cover the Cirque du Soleil performance, lunch, administrative fees at City Impact, and parking fees. Students will need to bring additional spending money for dinner, Ghirardelli Square and other shopping.

Please fill out the permission slip linked here and return with a check for $100 made out to "The King’s Academy”, with “Jr. Class Trip” on the memo line.   We need permission slips and money no later than Wednesday, November 19. Please have students bring these to their history teacher, Mr. Shieh or Mrs. Connors.

We will meet at school on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. and return to TKA at approximately 12:45 a.m. Please make transportation arrangements for your child to get home. All students are expected to stay in their assigned carpool groups for return to TKA unless prior arrangements have been made through Mrs. Connors
