| This Week in Jr. High Chapel: We opened up the month of September today with our first solo junior high chapel for Sixers, Sevvies, and Ochos as Mr. Jordan Coss hosted our time in the W building! We were led in worship by Ms. Stacey Reed with a high school student band and they did a wonderful job. Then Charles Homer, High School Pastor at Venture Church, presented an engaging lesson about taking Jesus' question, "Who do you say that I am," seriously. Charles shared a traumatic story from his life that led him to finally take Jesus seriously, and he encouraged students to do that now before or without needing some traumatic experience to wake us up to the reality and truth of Jesus first. It was a great message and time as we launch into a new month and settle into the fall semester where we will continue to explore who Jesus is. |
|
|
This Week in High School Chapel: We met together in the Theater for some worship and a poignant and heart-felt message from Dave Tieche, the Teaching Pastor at Westgate Church, South Hills, and father of two TKA students. He challenged us all to fight against the lies Satan tries to get us to believe. He reminded us that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and He came to set us free. Pastor Tieche left us with the encouragement that "Truth wins and lies die." |
