SPIRITUAL LIFE & SERVICE

Alternate text

2020-2021 Spiritual Life Theme
"Refocus: The Elements of Faith"

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong."
1 Corinthians 16.13

This Week in Chapel: We heard a wonderful message on Redeeming Technology from Paul Taylor, a pastor from Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto and TKA parent. Paul encouraged students to take a look at God's desire for the use of created things and spoke on 2 Corinthians 9:15. He challenged students to think about their use of technology, looking specifically at social media, and how God could use technology as a tool for His purposes. We also enjoyed some worship and our third installment of the ToKnight Show with Student Council. Students joined their homegroups following chapel for a time of discussion.

Home Group Chapel Discussion Questions:

  • How have you seen technology help people fulfill their calling to be stewards of God's creation?
  • Do you have any ideas on how the dangers of technology can be redeemed?
  • Which of the three ideas on social media redemption interest you the most and why? Spiritual Growth? Christian community? Ministry?

2020-2021 Service: Service is a critical component of TKA's educational experience, and all high school students at The King's Academy are required to complete service hours annually as part of their graduation requirements.
