In this presentation, you'll learn how you can establish a healthier home environment for your school-aged child, reduce academic stress without sacrificing achievement, and increase your child's resilience, creativity, and well-being. Participants will examine the tension that parents, students, and teachers often experience during remote and in-person learning over issues such as homework, grades, and the culture of competition. on SPIRITUAL LIFE & SERVICE Today in Chapel: We heard a message from Ben and Hawley Davis, former TKA teachers and Spiritual Life members, who now live in Texas with their two daughters. Ben and Hawley spoke on Matthew 11:28 and refreshing your spirit by laying your burdens down to Jesus. They gave personal examples and applications about how to turn to Jesus for refreshment in the midst of unknown times. We also enjoyed an episode of the ToKnight Show with Student Council, with another episode of Hot Ones and a kick off for Spirit Week. Home Group Questions:

ATHLETICS Attention High School Students! The King's Academy is considering creating our very eSports team! Interested in being a part of TKA's very first eSports team? Yes, eSports has come to the High School level and we are seeing if there is enough interest for a team this year. This is an official Varsity sport sanctioned by the NFHS. The five games sponsored for competition are: League of Legends, Rocket League, SMITE, FIFA 21 and Madden 21. Signups will determine which games we participate in. The eSports team will have practices and competitions just like any athletic team. After the signup, we will have an information meeting to evaluate the team's viability.
The signup will end Monday, February 8. Youth Sports in Santa Clara County to Follow State Guidelines: Santa Clara County is following the guidelines set forth in the State's Blueprint for a Safer Economy in the areas of youth sports and activities. This means that competitions between teams is allowed in Santa Clara County to the same degree as allowed by the State, and youth sports teams and other outdoor youth activities are not limited to 16-member cohorts. The State's rules only allow certain sports to be played in counties in the Purple Tier, where Santa Clara County is currently placed. The rules specifying what sports may be played are available here. The King's Academy is a Christ-centered school that inspires academic excellence, servant leadership, and enduring relationships.
