Student Covid Testing: September Dear Parents, Thank you for your support in testing our students to ensure our entire school community is safe and school can stay in session. Below, we describe testing plans for September. You will be able to sign your student up for a time slot on each of TKA's testing days. Please sign up for the Wednesday, September 1, testing on the link above. Testing Date/Time Rationale - Wednesdays will be the routine testing day due to the ability to test in the morning before school.
- Our priority is to minimize the disruption to student learning and not take away valuable classroom time.
- Students can be tested off-site for any testing dates and load their results (details below).
- Saturday testing is necessary to accommodate the retreats and the special school schedules those weeks to ensure academic time is not disrupted (details about retreat schedules coming later this week).
- SignUpGenius will be used for parents to pick a time slot for their students to test. (The company can accommodate 75 students per 15-minute time slot, so PLEASE TRY TO BE ON TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.).
Covid Testing Dates/Times at TKA - Wednesday, September 1, appointments from 7:00-9:45 a.m.: ALL students tested.
- Saturday, September 11, appointments from 8:30-11:15 a.m.: To keep a regular testing schedule, all students in grades 9-12 must be tested, even if not attending a school retreat.

- Wednesday, September 29, appointments 7:00-9:45 a.m.: ALL students tested.
TKA Testing Details - The testing will be an oral mouth swab. The technician puts the swab in the student's mouth, swabs against the cheek, and puts the swab in a vial.
- Results will be available in 24 hours or less. Parents will get a text to view their student's results. The results will be confidential except for limited school personnel responsible for contacting families whose student has a positive test result.
- Parents, DO NOT register your student again if you already registered for the August 16 testing.
- Only parents who did not register for the August 16 testing, and plan to test at TKA, need to register here.
Offsite Student Covid Testing - Parents can choose to test offsite at a facility (not a home test kit) and upload the results.
- For the September 1 Testing: An offsite test must not have been taken any earlier than Thursday, August 24, and not later than end of day on Wednesday, September 1.
- Upload Offsite testing results here.
