SPIRITUAL LIFE & SERVICE "Love the Lord your God" Spiritual Life Theme 2021-2022 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" This Week in Chapel: With the 6th and 7th graders in the Theater, Spiritual Life Department members Mr. Ethan Gutheil and Miss Kelley Miller led worship, which also featured high school students Anna Aldrin, Bella Gonzalez, Maya Waugh, and Jodi Liu. Student Body Vice-President Asher Castro shared a devotional about Romans 10:9, our verse of the week, and he encouraged 6th graders to seriously consider accepting Jesus like he did when he was a sixer. Then, math teacher Mr. Steve Weiss spoke about trusting in El Shaddai, the mighty one of Israel, and he inspired everyone to make Him the Lord of their lives. It's not enough to just have knowledge about or belief in Him; one must live in dependence on Him in every way ("get in the wheelbarrow"). Finally, Mr. Weiss also showed the Bible verses on the In-N-Out food packaging and challenged us to "Accept Jesus Today Before You Are In-N-Out of this world"!
