Over the summer, TKA student Ryland Adzich (Grade 11) created The Creative Destination. This is a teen-led philanthropic organization dedicated to creating creative outlets for underserved youth. The organization focuses on leveraging rooms or small spaces in organizations and institutions in underserved communities that are not being utilized to their full potential. The Creative Destination inspires others to create a space that fosters a love of learning and literacy through donating materials and books from book drives. For the first initiative, The Creative Destination is partnering with San Francisco City Impact to create a multipurpose room for children of the Tenderloin District in San Francisco. In a few short weeks, The Creative Destination has raised over $6,000.00, enlisted the help of impactful youth volunteers, and is just getting started! The Creative Destination is looking forward to a year filled with impactful service! Learn more at thecreativedestination.org

Knights Annual Fundraiser 2022
Save the Date: Saturday, October 1, 2022
This is our most important fundraising event and biggest party of the school year for parents! 100% of auction proceeds will go towards financial aid and the endowment fund.
Our theme this year is Ohana Knight. Ohana means family. Family means no one is left behind or forgotten. Help us to make sure that no one is left behind but that every qualified student from every socio-economic background can attend TKA. This festive evening, packed with opportunities to meet other TKA parents, TKA staff and teachers, and the school board, will include inspiring musical and dance performances, a live auction, an online auction, and a Hawaiian style dinner.
2022-2023 Spiritual Life Theme
"Who do YOU say I am?"
This year, our Spiritual Life theme is "Who do you say I am?" taken from Luke 9:20. This is the story where Peter proclaims who Christ is. We will use this theme to explore who Christ is, using His "I am" statements in John, as well as looking at statements and stories of who God is elsewhere in Scripture. Our hope is to encourage Christian students to own their faith and to challenge non-Christian students to consider the claims of Christ.
Luke 9:20 (NIV) "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "God's Messiah."
This Week in All School Club: The entire school gathered in the gym on Thursday to Welcome in the 2022-23 school year together at a Welcome Rally. It kicked off with a thunderous drum-roll and a standing ovation as the Seniors escorted the Sixers to their spot in the bleachers. The Student Council introduced themselves with a dance, and Mr. Meadows cast the vision for ways The King's Academy could be even better! New staff and teachers were introduced, the 7th graders prevailed in the annual "Schedule Game," the Seniors set the tone by winning the Spirit Check, and the Jr. High Girls and High School Boys table surfing teams advanced to the Finals, which will take place in September when we gather together once again for the Fall Rally!
