The challenge is to hit the target of raising $50,000 for the Knights Annual Fund on November 29, 2022 which is Giving TKA Day (a global initiative for Giving Tuesday). No gift is too small. Our goal is to have an "ALL IN" approach to create excellence on our campus. Please prayerfully consider donating to the Knights Annual Fund.
If we meet the challenge, then, on "Thank You Wednesday" (November 30, 2022), - TKA students get to wear pajamas to school that day!

| | A Record-Setting Performance! TKA's Knights Brigade Marching Band and Color Guard had an incredible day at the WBA Regional Championships at Logan High School in Union City last Saturday, November 12. Knights Brigade scored an all-time high of 88.825, earning the highest WBA Class 1A score in recorded history. They once again came in 1st place Class A and won All Caption Awards for Best General Effect, Music, Visual, Color Guard, and Percussion. Out of 108 active bands in WBA this season, Knights Brigade has the 6th highest score of every class. The last stop on for this year's show, Ghost Train Redux, is the WBA Class Championships in Ontario starting Saturday, November 19. We are incredibly proud of the hard work from all 42 student musicians and performers, plus dedicated parents, instructors and Instrumental Music Director, Mr. Bortz. |

| | Anjali Vieira (12th Grade) was nominated by the youth worship ministers from her church, St. Thomas of Canterbury, for a special event called "Saints in the City" were young disciples are honored from the Diocese of San Jose. On November 3, Anjali was presented a prestigious Kecharitomene Award for demonstrating the qualities that make a young disciple effective in the world today: kingdom minded & fearless, possesses a zeal for evangelization, is inspired by the truths of the Catholic faith, lives to embrace the will of God, loves in high definition, and when peers are in his/her presence, they are intoxicated with the fragrance of Christ. Anjali was also an Honoree for the Saint Maria Goretti Award. Congratulations, Anjali, on these special recognitions! |

Read more about TKA's use of Studyo and access additional tutorial videos. Parent Webinar on "Studyo": Thursday, December 1, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. At this webinar, you will learn everything about helping your student use their Studyo school planner to build healthy organization and time management skills.The webinar lasts about 35 minutes with an additional 5-10 minutes for your questions. |

Common Ground Speakers Series: "Building Executive Functions Skills": Tuesday, December 6, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. Details and registration here. Free for educators, $10 for families. Recent research shows that development of executive functioning skills is a more reliable predictor of success in academics than test scores or socioeconomic status. This Week in All School Club: The students were treated to a Thanksgiving Rally, featuring the Teacher Lip-Sync Battle Finals (with the I.T. Department defending their Championship Title against the English Department), the return of a classic TKA tradition of Turkey-bowling (the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade class officers registered a win for middle-children everywhere by beating out the older and younger grades to advance to the finals - Congrats to Drew Martinez and the Ochos for their Turkey-Bowling 2022 victory), the introduction of a sure-to-be-classic game of Sibling Rivalry: Steal the Pumpkin Spiced Turkey Bacon Donut (the battle was extremely entertaining, with sibling pride on the line), the Table-Surfing Finals between the Junior High girls and High School boys (a HUGE congrats to the Junior High girls for flawless teamwork leading to a major victory over the High School boys - slay, girls, slay!), an appearance from the always thrilling t-shirt cannon designed and driven by our Robotics Team, all culminating in a cheer-battle for the Spirit Dagger, clinched by the Sixers! It was indeed a very merry Thanksgiving Rally. |

Interested in Performing, Competing, or Being on a Team? Join TKA Winter Guard or Winter Percussion! Referred to as the "Sport of the Arts", Winter Guard combines theatrics and athleticism, utilizing flags, rifles, and sabers in an indoor choreographed routine. Winter Percussion combines elements of music performance, marching, and theater. If the rhythm can't stop, Winter Percussion is for you. No experience is required as we will train those interested. Students in all grades welcomed! Season runs from December through March. For more info contact Mr. Bortz or Mrs. Somers.
