What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is a global movement of generosity that began in 2012.  Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday was created to follow the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Thanksgiving is a day for giving thanks. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are days for getting deals. Now, there is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back!  On #GivingTuesday, the world will come together to celebrate and encourage charitable activities.

#GivingTuesday is building a tradition of giving.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we are giving thanks for all the ways God has blessed The King's Academy. And, we are committed to doing all things with excellence to honor our King

We Are Thankful for Jesus, Our King!

A TKA education and all school programs are grounded in a Biblical worldview, affirming that true education recognizes God as the supreme source of all truth, knowledge, and wisdom.

We Are Thankful for Our Staff

Our staff are Christian role models and professionally qualified educators who are committed to mentoring and discipling junior high and high school students.

We Are Thankful for Opportunities to Serve Others

Throughout Scripture, we see that "service" is not just a good thing. It is at the very heart of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We engage students to look beyond themselves and reach out to others in love and compassion.

We Are Thankful for Our Students

Believing that God has created all people in His image, The King’s Academy values and cultivates racial, cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity on campus. We recognize all persons are uniquely created by God and are given specific gifts and abilities which foster a well-rounded learning environment.

Dear TKA Community,

As we approach Thanksgiving, we are giving thanks for all the ways God has blessed The King's Academy. And, we are committed to doing all things with excellence to honor our King.

Tuesday, November 28, is #GivingTuesday, or #GivingTKADay, the day we invite you to begin your year-end giving by making a contribution to the Knights Annual Fund. The goal is to raise $50,000 for the Knights Annual Fund on November 28, 2023, #GivingTKADay. (#GivingTuesday is a global movement of generosity.)

By helping to offer enhancements beyond what tuition covers, your gift to the Annual Fund directly influences the educational experience students have at TKA. By giving to the Knights Annual Fund, your tax-deductible gift will allow us to:

  • provide tuition assistance to all interested and qualified students regardless of socioeconomic status
  • upgrade campus facilities and complete campus beautification projects

No gift is too small. Our goal is to have an “ALL IN” approach. If every family, faculty member, and board member would participate, we know that God will bless the giving and, in turn, we can bless those in need. Would you prayerfully consider making a donation to the Knights Annual Fund?

How You Can Support The King's Academy:

  1. Pray for a big day on Tuesday, November 28.
  2. Be a part of #Giving TKA Day by making a donation at www.tka.org/donate or by check payable to TKA.
  3. Forward this email to your friends and family, so they can also be involved!
