Posted 01/21/2020 03:15PM
For the last several weeks, the robotics teams have been working long and hard to be ready for the Qualifying Tournament at Wilcox High School. On Saturday, January 18, both teams competed and did a great job almost beating the alliance that won at the finals.
The MidKnight Mayhem qualified as one of the elimination tournament alliance captains and selected Midknight Madness as their alliance partner.Unfortunately, the alliance was eliminated at the semi-finals by the team that won the robot challenge.
The MidKnight Madness earned the Inspire Award given to the team that truly embodied the ‘challenge’ of the FTC program. The team that receives this award is chosen by the judges as having best represented a ‘role model FTC Team. This Team is a top contender for all other judging categories and is a strong competitor on the field. The Inspire Award Winner is an inspiration to other teams, acting with Gracious Professionalism™ both on and off the playing field. This team understands how to communicate their experiences and knowledge to other teams, sponsors, and the judges.
As the recipient of this award, MidKnight Madness qualifies for the Northern California Regional Championships on March 7 and 8, 2020
