Junior High Service

The mission of Junior High Service is to awaken in students an interest and a passion for helping others by exposing them to a variety of service opportunities.  We believe that through these experiences they will begin to find their purpose, develop their gifts, and discover how they too can make a difference.

  1. To offer a local service opportunity off-campus for a small group of junior
high students each semester.  For example, 20 students volunteering on a Saturday at a local soup kitchen.
  2. To offer a service project for all junior high students during the weeks prior to the school's high school service trips. This project would be held during the three service group meetings built into the school schedule, and not during service week itself.

Here's One Example!

Junior High Serves with City Team in San Francisco: On a Saturday in April, junior high spiritual life leaders, Hawley and Ben Davis, took  a group of junior high students to serve at City Team in San Francisco where they made and distributed lunches and went out to meet and pray for people in the city. Students also served hot lunches, helped individuals pick up needed clothes/supplies, and washed the feet of visitors.
These young TKA students served without any reservation, showing the love of Christ over and again throughout the day.
