Class Retreats

At The King's Academy, FUN is strategic to what we do!

The history of TKA is steeped in the Young Life (YL) tradition and ministry philosophy.  One facet of this philosophy is providing fun, adventurous, life-changing and skill-building experiences. At TKA, we're determined to show kids the most fun, wholesome time of their lives whether at retreats, all-school clubs, or even in conversation. Laughing, playing, and having fun is good medicine for young people who often live under immense pressure at home and at school.

Our fall retreats are an integral part of students’ wholistic development at The King’s Academy, intentionally designed so that students grow personally and spiritually, bond together as a class, and build relationships with staff. During this time, they will strengthen friendships, play hard, mature in their walk with Christ, and experience God in new and refreshing ways.

A change of scenery, and time in nature, help connect students with God and each other. Retreats also create a shared sense of community values when students and staff make wonderful memories together. In some cases, students participate in a service role as chaperones or help with the program.
