At The King’s Academy, FUN is strategic to who we are! Our Fall Retreats are an integral part of our students' holistic growth—offering a blend of adventure, spiritual maturity, and community building outside the traditional classroom.

In today's fast-paced world, students often face immense pressure at home and school—we believe laughing, playing, and sharing healthy outdoor fun is essential medicine for young minds.

Fall Retreat Information (2026-2027)
9th Grade Retreat (Rock N Water)
From September 9–11, our 9th-grade class is heading to Rock-N-Water, nestled along the beautiful South Fork of the American River between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe.
Grounded in biblical principles, the retreat combines real-world adventure with dedicated devotional times, outdoor teaching, and spiritual reflection to help students grow in faith and form lifelong friendships right at the start of high school.

10th-12th Grade Retreat (Hume Lake)
From September 9–11, our 10th–12th-grade students will head to the picturesque Hume Lake Christian Camp, nestled in the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountain range within Sequoia National Forest.
This retreat is designed to set the tone for the entire year—creating an intentional space for deep spiritual growth, class bonding, and meaningful connection with staff and peers, balanced with plenty of time for rest, reflection, and fun.

8th Grade Retreat (Mt. Hermon)
From September 9–10, our 7th and 8th-grade students will head to Mount Hermon’s Ponderosa Lodge, tucked away in the beautiful redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains just 50 minutes from campus.
This two-day overnight getaway is packed with inspiring chapel gatherings, worship, and practical teaching, along with high-energy fun like outdoor laser tag, pool games, court-and-field challenges, and team-building activities.
A highlight of this year's schedule is dedicated gender-specific breakout sessions in the morning and evening, allowing students to connect deeply on relevant topics and deepen their understanding of who God made them to be.
